Sometimes the pose makes the picture and that is mostly true here except..... very nicely executed technically with either good choices in depth of field on the camera or great post production. It doesn't really matter which because the effects are purposeful and well chosen. c.

The enigma of the pose is what attracts me above all else. Is this a pose from an unintentional slackening of the mouth as is frequently found in the elderly; or a similar smacking of the lips that was uncontrollable as the camera presented itself to this woman? Or is this an entirely intentional facial expression from someone who has reached the point beyond caring about manners. I so hope it is the latter but fascinated that one would photograph the former with such care and attention.
